Grand and luxurious setup - the old fashioned way.
Not much to stay for inside the hotel (residence).
The staff was very helpfull when we had problems with our room not being clean.
The room was gross. Urine on the seat left from the last guest, and the tub hadnt been cleaned you could feel the ring in the tub. I also felt let down when I saw the room for the first time. Some of the floor boards are lose and make alot of nose, all the funiture is uneven so everything rocked. There was even a broken lamp in the room. Also, the site says it has Wfi, but the wfi is only in the lobby, and takes forever to get working.
At first hotel staff was excellent ready to help as and always with a smile. The hotel had a lovely garden were you could enjoy your coffee and of course the room which was nicely decorated. Each room had a theme. One of the excellent point of service is when we checked out of the hotel they gave as instructions for a day trip that we planned in piza keeping our luggage in the storage. Excellent hotel if er ever be again in Florence this is the place we will book again and again!
Understated luxury; knowledgeable staff; central location
It's like experiencing over 500 years of history in a fully restructured and new hotel located less than 10min walk from the duomo... A fabulous experience! An exceptional hotel that combines the past with the future. My wife and I fell in love with this hotel!
The hotel is excellently located in the centre of the old city - good departure point for exploring all the attractions of Florence. It created the yesterday charm of a renovated Palazzo.
Poor breakfast options - pretty basic really. The catering could be improved, which would increase the attractiveness of this place.
Beautiful room Excellent facilities Friendly, helpful staff Good food Pleasant and comfortable
Isolation, privacy, beauty of old interior, style.
The room was big and the bathroom too, had both shower and a bath!
Absolutely fantastic from the moment we arrived, great & very helpful staff, lovely & spacious rooms, nice garden for breakfast.... just wished we had stayed longer....next time im in Florence i will surely stay here again ;-]
Great beautiful place. You feel more like you are living in a room of a very nice historical mansion. It situated near to most of the essential sights. The rooftop garden is very nice, with pretty large trees and lots of shade. You can have your breakfast there. We took the cappela room which I suppose is the cheapest room available and yet it was very nice and spacious, with a large bathroom with shower and bath tub. One of the best hotels in my opinion, luxurious and is one of kind as well. I saw pictures of the other rooms and they all look even better. Service is great. Friendly staff. A delight to stay in. Will book this place again when I come to Florence again.
Nothing much to not like. The bed is a little hard. But it was very big.
The hotel is really like a luxury Residence. The rooms (suites) are luxury designed, have antique furniture and decorated with original paintings on the cellings. It was very nice! The hotel situated just 5-7 minutes walk distance from railway station. Very near to all sightseeings, Ponte Vecchio - just 5 min., Dom-10 min.. Good breakfast.
The hotel has no restaurant. So, you have to go out. But it is also OK, because you can find a lot of places there. I did not like that I could hear the people from the next room..specially, in the night, you hear even if they whisper..uncomfortable feeling.. The room with garden was booked and a confirmed reservation has been got. But as I arrived, the girl on the reception explained it is already occupied. And that there is no any guarantee to have it if you book it online...Strange. She tried to give me a smaller room, even that prestige suite has been booked. I asked for another room. And got a bigger suite but looking over the street. To sleep there with open windows was a problem...
Great staff, luxury rooms, perfect position..what else? Beautiful weekend in Firenze at Residenza del Moro!
Convenient location. Within walking distance to major historic sites of Florence, shopping area and Santa Maria Novella Station. We had been upgraded to suite with garden and it was pleasant surprise. Staff was very polite and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our staying at Residenza Del Moro.
As a young traveling couple this was one of the most accomodating hotels we have stayed at. The hotel staff was more than helpful in providing wine glasses, a bottle opener, a converter, and immediate assistance for TV issues. The room was spacious with beautiful decor, a luxurious hot tub for two, modern and large bathroom with double vanity. The king bed was very comfortable and was very happy with my stay, I wish we could have stayed longer!
